I wrote this with my friend Christoffer. We met way back at the dance studio where I auditioned for A*teens. We had been writing a bunch of stuff together and then we got into the studio one day and started with this track. In the beginning the verse was the chorus but I was like "Common take it higher! Keep going!" and he took into the chorus. It was so high! I love the energy in this one. When we did it "for real" in the studio we almost felt it like a skate punk vibe in it, real cocky, energetic and fun. The attitude had to be just right, a little sloppy and real groovy! This is probably the song that is hardest to play live out of them even though it sounds all natural with the unperiodic rythms in the chorus, it is a while until you get it into your body. The lyrics are really about what I worried about the most during the time we wrote it: am I really gonna make it, how long am I gonna be around for and so on. In the end I feel I took my own advice, chose my own way, relied on my gut and now I’m just trying to enjoy the ride.
