a little update...
Hey guys. Hope the new year is treating all of you well. I'm super pumped to go home and do that show tomorrow... it's gonna be alot of fun for sure.
I've spent the last month in Golden, British Columbia in Canada and tomorow it is finally time to go home. I'm writing finally not because I had a bad time, it was great but I also managed to crash fairly har the other week and have not been skiing at all for the last 4 days. I apparently stretched something in my knee which makes it impossible to extend fully. Hopefully they will be able to help me out on the airport tomorrow.
The last month has been a lot of skiing but also reeding up on a bunch of stuff, plastics for one but also (which is very interesting) how control (management control) depends on national culture. That is what I'm gonna get into when I get back home. That's what my thesis will be about, how management control systems are adopted to fit different cultures and differen institutional environments. And I've gotten loads of inspiration here lately and there is some good stuff coming out of my head now. I'm hoping to get that into some sort of demoes some weekend in a not too far away future.
What else about Golden, it is a small pretty shitty town but the mountains are amazing and for me this has been a great trip just to have some time to journy into myself also. And I'm also alittle proud of myself, coming home bruised just shows that I've really given the riding my all. In other words I'm learning how to just let go and go with it, for better and for worse. Well as I've said I've been some way from civilisation lately and have done alot of thinking. I'm hitting you with more of what I mean by this last paragraph later this week. promis.
The show that I was talking about is gonna be fun. My keyboardplayer Elias and I will do it at one of the larger theatres in sweden and there will be only hotshots in the audience. I'm gonna talk about what music is to a trademark which should be fun, and pretty easy to illustrate too...
wish me luck on my flight. Take care
